Understanding Daily Charges

Tatum provides several automated services that can incur daily charges based on your usage. These charges ensure seamless operation for key functionalities like Virtual Accounts deposit address scanning, KMS transaction monitoring, and v3 subscription notifications. Below, we break down the sources of daily charges and how to manage them.

Virtual Accounts Deposit Address Scanning

Each deposit address associated with your Virtual Accounts is automatically monitored for incoming transactions. This monitoring incurs a daily cost of 20 credits per address. These charges apply even when there are no deposits, as the system continues to scan for potential activity.

KMS (Key Management System) Scanning

If you're using Tatum’s KMS to automatically scan for pending transactions, this service also incurs a daily charge.

v3 Subscriptions to Notifications

Depending on your v3 subscription to different types of notifications, you may incur varying daily costs. These subscriptions allow you to receive real-time updates about blockchain events, but they generate daily charges based on the frequency and type of notification.

What to Do if You're Unhappy with These Charges

If you feel that these charges are unexpected or excessive, here are a few steps you can take:

  • Review Your Usage: Check which services are active on your account and consider disabling or deleting v3 subscriptions or Virtual Account deposit addresses you no longer need.
  • Adjust KMS Settings: You can reduce the frequency of transaction scans or optimize notification settings to lower your daily costs.

By managing these services effectively, you can control your daily charges while maintaining the functionality of your operations.
