Building blocks

Tatum API is a set of building blocks for any blockchain / transactional application. It delivers prebuilt blocks available via JSON REST API. Tatum API is divided into 3 logical sections.

Ledger

Set of API calls to access Tatum Private ledger. Tatum Private ledger is an abstraction layer to provide easy access to crypto/blockchain accounts and assets. On top of that, it supports FIAT currencies and non-blockchain transactions (virtual currencies).

Blockchain

Set of API calls to access any supported blockchains directly, without any abstraction. API calls are as similar as possible between supported blockchains, which help develop cross-chain applications even faster.

Off-chain

Set of API calls, which interconnects Tatum private ledger and blockchains together. Developers can assign blockchain addresses to ledger accounts, which automatically synchronizes blockchain balances and transaction history into the private ledger, and it is accessible instantly. Tatum's off-chain solution supports most of the supported blockchains in Tatum API.
