Moonbeam Networks Removal

Tatum is decommissioning its hosted Moonbeam Mainnet, Moonriver, and Moonbase Alpha RPC services following the Moonbeam Network's official migration and relaunch on Base.

Developers currently relying on these endpoints for node access, transaction submission, or state queries will need to update their integrations, as Tatum will no longer host original Substrate-based Moonbeam nodes.

Moonbeam Official Announcement: Relaunch on Base

Key Changes & Impact

Following Moonbeam's strategic transition off Polkadot/Kusama and migration of $GLMR and $MOVR to Base, the hosted Substrate-based Moonbeam RPC services have reached their End of Life (EOL) and are being retired. Requests to these endpoints will return connection errors, and all associated Tatum RPC routes are being deactivated.

Deprecated Endpoints

The following primary gateway endpoints, regional API routes, and legacy aliases are being decommissioned:

Moonbeam Mainnet

Moonriver

Moonbase Alpha (Testnet)

Recommended Action

If your application interacts with the Moonbeam ecosystem or the $GLMR token:

  1. Migrate to Base Infrastructure: Update your application endpoints to point to Base
  2. Update Token Contracts: Use the new standard ERC-20 token contracts on Base (e.g., $GLMR on Base: 0xb3846fd356c2149ee8d30b0449088dc74e265459).
  3. Historical Data: If you require legacy historical data from the old Substrate parachains, you will need to rely on archive nodes or ecosystem explorers.
